Marmaduke is in fact my bike and is accompanied by White Lightning which is Liz’s bike. We are the engines for this 1,050miles plus detours. Oh yes, there will be detours. Liz is marathon fit. I, on the other hand lets say have some catching up to do. New bike, tick. Cleats: totally unfamiliar with and only 1,050miles or so to go. Spinning classes attended: nil. Anticipatory pints consumed: undisclosed. Well it seems we are all ready and for the off at 11.45pm from Paddington Station tonight.
We are fundraising for St Richards hospice. One of many over looked charities which deals with end of life care for terminally ill patients and provides support for their families.
